I need your help

For those of you who don’t know, I’ve had some health issues in the past month or so.

I took a blood test 3 weeks ago that showed I was moderately anemic, and my doctor put me on oral iron supplements with a repeat blood test and coeliac test due in 6 weeks time. Apart from being expensive ($24 per 150ml, and I required 20ml/day) I’m unable to tolerate them and have been experiencing severe abdominal cramping and other GI issues, menorrhagia (worse than usual), fatigue and light headedness.

I’m booked in to have an infusion of iron tomorrow (16.10.2018) and have already incurred an expense of $40 for the injection, plus $230 for the appointment. I’ve borrowed money from my parents to cover the cost of the appointment.

My doctor has also referred me for an ultrasound to rule out endometriosis. I’ve been informed this will cost $300 and I’ll only be rebated $80, leaving me $220 out of pocket. It’s booked for next Friday 26.10.2018.

I cannot afford this and I’m hoping you can help me. The full $300 is needed to ensure I can get my rebate, but at the absolute minimim $220.

I can provide consultation notes, medical referral/image referral with some details redacted on request.
