hey yknow what’s kinda fucked up and more than kinda tragic

in canon, we never hear about samara’s bondmate, morinth-rila-falere’s other parent. all we know is that they were another asari, that’s it. samara never speaks of them, only of her daughters. the family seems to have been very happy prior to morinth going on the run, with it heavily implied that both samara’s relationship with her daughters and the three sisters’ relationships with each others were very close. i mean, morinth is willing to risk getting caught by the reapers to check on her sisters in me3, that’s dedication. given how important her family is to samara, and how much she had to be willing to give up to join the justicars, we can infer something has taken the bondmate out of the picture.

we know from multiple sources that asari don’t consider melding to be a sex thing; liara tells us it’s quite common for melding to occur between close friends and family members.

we also know that the ardat-yakshi condition lies dormant until puberty.

i’m not saying morinth’s first kill was her own parent in a tragic accident nobody could possibly have predicted that would have been horrifically psychologically scarring for everyone involved, but it sure does look that way don’t it

omegastation:

You know if they do introduce a krogan LI, I really want to receive krogan poetry… It could be really poignant or just hilarious.
I would also like to hear stories about Tuchanka, about their clan, about their rites, about the pain of the genophage and how they dealt with it. But I also want to see them smile and laugh as they watch baby krogan play. I want them to talk about their hope for the future, but also how aware they are that it all depends on what they do now. How do they deal with the pressure? How do they try to help? So many possibilities.

One thing I don’t want is Bioware trying to distance this krogan LI from the typical krogan (like the typical krogan is bad, like we wouldn’t want that).
IDK, I never felt like krogan are all the same or that they all share the same characteristics. If anything, every meeting with a krogan in the games is unique, and proves that they’re not at all the stereotype we think they are.
They’re all different. Some are more sensitive than others, some are vicious yes, some are brutal, but they each have a little something that makes them special.
So no need to try hard, they can do what they’ve always done, you know? Just give us an interesting krogan like usual but this time we can be with them.
