I always think that joker kinda has the best animations in mass effect? sometimes I just like watching him to see what kind of details bioware put into his animation.
even in mass effect 1, a game from 2007, you can see this little motion with his thumb that just makes everything look so much more..real, more human. and I think it’s just really nice to see.

I think Joker is one of the most relatable characters. Apart from his Vrolik’s syndrome, he’s just an average guy in a very non-average situation. He simply wants to fly that space ship, but the commander of said ship insists on drawing the attention of every bad guy in the galaxy, from mercs to rogue spectres to an entire race of malevolent aliens to ancient undying omnicidal horror machines.

Yet, he always comes through. He rushes in with the SR-1 at the Battle of the Citadel ahead of the 5th fleet. He’s the first of the old Normandy crew to join Shepard on the SR-2. He covers the team when they make their escape from the Collector base. He pulls Shepard’s ass out of the fire when the Reapers invade and sticks with them all through the Reaper war. He always has their back, no matter what. He – along with others, of course – reminds Shepard that they aren’t some kind of super hero and have their limits, that they need downtime like everyone else and that they’re not alone in this.
Basically, he’s one of Shepard’s best friends, always there for them, no matter how bad the situation is.

Also, iIrc, he’s one of the few team members that can’t die no matter your decisions, so that’s something.

I like to think that at some point Shepard would have fixed the giant, gaping hole in poor Legion’s chest. Hopefully by slapping on a really big plaster and painting over it, making it resemble the old armor, thus showing Legion that it’s fully trusted by Shepard. After all, you don’t just paint “N7” on to any old Geth.

And I also like to imagine that Shepard paints like a two year old.
